Анотація | Abstract
The article investigates a right to receive the ecological education in Ukraine from the point of view of reformations of educational and ecological legislation. It also analyses the modern concepts of “ecological education”, as well as “education for steady development”, “ecologization of education”, “ecological competence”. The author's concepts of ecological education and ecological competence are set forth.
Ecological education is the system of knowledge, abilities and skills in the field of the use of natural resources, "protection" of environment and providing ecological safety, that puts an aim of forming the personality with the high level of ecological culture, ecological education, ecological consciousness that owns an ecological competence and harmoniously cooperates with an environment on principles of steady development. Today there is an urgent necessity for development and passing an act of Ukraine “About ecological education” and Strategies of ecological education with the aim of steady development.
An ecological competence is dynamic combination of knowledge, abilities, skills, ways of thinking, views, values, other personal internals, that determines ability of person to live in harmony with nature, to satisfy the today necessities, not putting ability of future generations to satisfy the vital necessities under a threat; to make decision and act in the interests of environmental preservation.
Paying attention to the increase the role of ecological education in the context of transition of Ukraine to steady development, the author convinced that an ecological competence must become a base for the education stakeholders, that will realize a right to ecological education that envisages the obligatory fixing the standards in the field of education. An ecological competence must be formed not only in the process of acquisition of knowledge from educational disciplines of ecological aspiration, and also during the study of disciplines of other aspiration, that must be supplemented by the acquisition of ecological constituent that will include corresponding knowledge with the aim of forming of ecological justice and ecological culture. Only in this way will Ukrainian society be able to move to the principles of sustainable development, which, while meeting the needs of the modern generation, does not compromise the ability of future generations to meet their vital needs.
